Message from Rick D. Senft, CEO and President
As CEO and President of Passavant Memorial Homes and Subsidiaries, I am proud of the reputation we have built as an innovative leader in creating individualized services for the people we support.
When I entered the field in the late 1970s, the concept of good service provision was much different than it is now. At that time, state centers were the focal point of the leaders in the field and were the primary residences of people with developmental disabilities. Services were very much standardized and stereotypical, leaving little room for the accommodation of personalized needs. During the course of my career, I have been gratified to witness a major shift of attitude as more and more people have been given the opportunity to move into their local communities and live productive and fulfilling lives.
All of us at Passavant embrace and support the concept that every individual has the potential to grow and develop. Most of us started our careers as direct line supports and saw this happen in the course of our daily work. With this kind of extensive background, my administrative and management staff is committed to building services that provide the options each person needs to reach his or her highest capability. Because we recognize that family and community supports are critical factors to an individual’s success, Passavant has built a strong regionalized support system. I firmly believe that this type of structure allows us to offer individuals and their families the best service advantages—the financial stability of a large, well-managed organization, plus regional management that can identify and respond to individual and personal needs quickly and effectively.
We welcome the challenges that come with expanding existing services and creating new ones. If we can be of service to you or a family member, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss your particular needs.
